At United Vapes, we understand that vaping responsibly means more than just choosing the right productsit's also about making sure those products don't harm the environment. As part of United Wholesale Scotland Ltd, we are committed to sustainability and doing our part to reduce the environment impact of vaping. We believe that small actions can lead to big changes. Here's how you can join us in making a difference.

Why Recycling Matters

Plastic waste is a growing concern worldwide, and the vaping industry has a part to play in tackling this issue. Every vape product—from e-liquid bottles to disposable vapes—contains materials that can and should be recycled. Proper recycling helps conserve resources, reduce pollution, and keep hazardous substances out of our landfills and oceans. By recycling your vaping products, you’re contributing to a healthier planet.

How to Recycle Your Vape Kits

Vape Kits contain several components made from different materials, each of which requires proper disposal:

  1. Disassemble the Device: Start by unscrewing and separating all components of your vape device, such as battery, tank and coil.
  2. Clean the Tank: Ensure the tank is free of e-liquid residue. This can be done by washing it out after disassembly.
  3. Recycle Components:
    • Plastic and Glass:  These parts can be recycled with your standard plastic and glass waste.
    • Metal Parts: Metal components should be recycled in a metal recycling bin.
    • Batteries: Vape batteries must be disposed of in designated battery recycling bins.
    • Packaging: Any paper or cardboard packaging can be recycled with your other paper waste.

Recycling Disposable Vapes and Pods

While disposable vapes are convenient, they’re not the most environmentally friendly option. However, with a bit of effort, they can still be recycled:

  1. Disassemble the Disposable: Carefully take apart the device to separate the plastic, metal, and battery components.
  2. Clean the Parts: Remove any remaining e-liquid residue before recycling.
  3. Recycle Each Component:
    • Plastic and Metal Parts: Recycle these in the appropriate bins for plastics and metals.
    • Battery: Dispose of the battery in a designated battery recycling bin.

Recycling Vape Batteries

Vape batteries contain hazardous materials that need to be handled with care. To recycle your batteries safely:

  1. Remove from Device: Take the battery out the vape device, ensuring all other components like the tank and coil are removed first.
  2. Use a Battery Pin: Place the battery into a dedicated battery recycling bin.
